In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Kapyong, we invite you to a special book talk for the newly released graphic novel, The Story of the Battle of Kapyong.
Meet the real story of Lt. Col. Hub Gray. This powerful graphic novel is based on Gray’s raw, firsthand memoirs, Beyond the Danger Close. Far from a tale of idealized heroism, it brings to life the gritty, authentic eyewitness testimony of a soldier who stood at the absolute heart of the conflict. By vividly contrasting the harrowing, mud-filled realities of the 1951 battlefield with Korea’s miraculous post-war development, this work honors the deep-rooted bond and shared sacrifices of our two nations.
